COLOR CHARTS.

Color, Color, Color… Sometimes it’s obvious which to choose and others not so much.

Here is a few tips I recommend when choosing color!

Color Chart

  • This color on the charts is a representation of the finished color. HOWEVER, we have never done a job and the color chart was a complete match. There is too many variables such as: Are you looking at this chart online? This isn’t the most accurate representation of the chart, in person is always closer. Make sure your brightness is turned up all the way. | What time of day are you looking at the color chart? The sun can play tricks on what you are looking at! | Remember, this is a small 1 Inch x 1 Inch square, This isn’t going provide you the most accurate idea. | Above all, remember this is a COLOR CHART ON PAPER. The texture is different with concrete, as well as the area that surrounds it. This isn’t like painting, the variables are limitless to why you color doesn’t look exactly like the chart. Best thing to do, is browse around our site, many of our photos provide the color used on that said, project. This chart is to just give you an idea or tone.

  • I hardly ever recommend using a color that matches exact to the next biggest area.. Walls, brick, etc. Generally, it is a good idea to use contrast!

  • Brick is a common surface we place concrete against. Often times the brick has several colors, instead of using a color that matches the bulk of the brick choice, use a color in the brick that is an accent and try to choose a color that works well with that. Last thing you want is the patio to look like its just running up the wall!

  • Less is more! Often times light colors play well with almost any hardscape!

  • Remember! It takes over 30 days for your color to show its true self! Concrete has a hydration process that turns the concrete lighter, Therefore as your concrete goes through this process, your color will become more vibrant!
